January 2022 - Pueo in the sunset

This beautiful pueo floated through the shadow of Puʻu ʻŌmaʻokoili on saddle road. Pueo are most active at dawn and dusk and often willl travel through some amazing light. This one passing through the shadow of the Puʻu while Maunakea was still lit up in the last light of the sunset made for a particularly stunning photo.
